夢が一つ叶った日。

2026年7月19日（日） 一昨日の7月19日、日曜日。 いつものようにお店を開けながら、金継ぎの修繕サンプルを作っていました。 暑い日でしたが、フランスからお越しのご夫婦が店先に立ち寄られ、「隣の喫茶店に置いてあった二つのお猪口が気になるのですが、見られますか？」と声をかけてくださいました。 お二人と一緒に母の喫茶店へ向かい、ケースから作品を取り出してお見せしました。 July 19, 2026 (Sunday) On Sunday, July 19, I opened my shop as usual while working on a kintsugi repair sample. Despite the heat, a couple visiting from France stopped by and said, “We saw two sake cups displayed at the café next door (my mother’s café) and were curious about them. Could we take a look?” So we walked together to the café, and I took the pieces out of the display case to show them. 雪山シリーズで一番気に入っているお猪口 その中のひとつ、私が雪山シリーズの中でも特に気に入っているお猪口をお選びいただきました。 ほんの小さな欠けを本金粉で修繕していますが、修繕跡がわからないほど滑らかに仕上げています。 このお猪口は「売れなくても飾っておくことに意味がある」と自分に言い聞かせながら、長く飾っていた作品です。 以前は非売品として展示していた時期もあり、ブログにも何度か写真を載せてきました。 同じ土、同じ釉薬を使っているのに、どうしてもこの色にならず、形も釉薬の流れも再現できない。 毎回「今度こそは」と思いながら雪山シリーズを作っていますが、このお猪口を作った当時と今では、窯の状態や釉薬の水分量が微妙に違うのかもしれません。 長く使い、何度か修理を重ねてきた電気窯だからこそ生まれた一期一会の景色なのだと思います。 The Snow Mountain Sake Cup I Love the Most Among the pieces, they chose the sake cup I love the most from my Snow Mountain series. It has a tiny chip that I repaired with genuine gold powder, but the finish is so smooth that the repair is almost invisible. This sake cup is something I kept on display while telling myself, “Even if it doesn’t sell, it has meaning just being here.” For a long time, I even displayed it as a non‑for‑sale piece. 雪山のお猪口（Sake Cup of snow mountain series）

毎週木曜日の定例販売会でもこちらのお猪口を並べています。器に興味を持って見に来る多くの方が必ず手に取り、「so beautiful」と言ってくださるのがこちらのお猪口です。 長らく作り続けている【雪山】シリーズの器の中でも、過去最高の満足度で出来上がったものです。 轆轤で薄く引き、日本酒が美味しく飲めるよう（口当たりが良くなるよう）にしています。高台にはくびれをつけ、釉薬の流れに力強さが生まれるようになっています。施釉前の高台周りのシェイプはとても華奢に仕上がっており（現品の半分くらいの細さです）、白と黒の釉薬を重ねがけすることで、釉薬の流れと溜まりによる景色の動きや力強さが生まれます。底面ギリギリまで釉薬を施すと、器だけでなく棚板にも損傷が出やすいシリーズですが、とても気に入っている和食器です。（素地の薄さに対して2色の釉薬を重ね掛けするため、通常よりも施釉に時間がかかります。） 和食器の中で最も長く作り続けているシリーズですが、完成品として仕上がる率が極端に少ないため、製品として販売できる数量も非常に限られています。 こちらのお猪口に関しては高価格帯になりますが、同じシリーズでも高台周りに釉薬がここまで流れていない普通の高台形のものは、もう少しお求めやすい価格帯で販売しています。それらは現在、完売中です。（また制作しようと思います。） 以前ほど雪山へ滑りに行きたいという思いが強くなくなってきたため、作る機会も減りました。次の冬こそは久しぶりに滑りに行きたいです。 JAPOWの認知度の高さと昨今の円安で、私が滑りに行っていた頃よりも宿泊費、食費、リフト代のすべてが値上がりしています。（かなり良い環境で滑りに行けた会社員時代でさえ冬貧乏になりがちだったけど）今は費用がかかり過ぎてなかなか滑りに行こうとはなれません。（当時は仕事に直結していたので滑りに行っていたのもあります） ただ、スキーやスノーボードは行って滑り出すと単純に楽しいものです⛷️ 若い頃、LEOクラブのユースキャンプでいろんな国の子たちと一緒にカナダのケロウナで滑ったとき、英語が話せなくても友達ができ、その後ずっと文通したり、それがきっかけとなってワーホリでみんなの地元を訪ねたりしたのがすごく楽しかったです。 最近また、あの頃のような気持ちで海外へ旅に行きたいと思っています。 今は京都に観光に来られた皆さんに器を買ってもらったり、金継ぎレッスンを受けてもらったりして、皆さんが住む街を、まだ体力があるうちに見に行きたい！そう思っています。 以前雪山シリーズの器について書いていたBLOGはこちらからご覧ください。   2024年7月22日 ucacoceramics　優佳子 ―――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――――― I also display this sake cup at my regular ceramics shop every Thursday. Many people who are interested in pottery come to see them and invariably pick them up, saying, "so beautiful." This sake cup is part of the "Snow Mountain" series, which I have been making for a long time, and it is one of the most satisfying pieces I have ever produced. I throw them thinly on the wheel to enhance the flavor of sake (making it more pleasant to drink). The foot of the cup has a constriction, giving strength to the flowing glaze. The shape around the foot before glazing is very delicate (about half the thickness of the finished product), and by layering white and black glazes, the movement and strength of the scenery are created by the flow and pooling of the glaze. Applying glaze right up to the bottom edge of the cup can cause damage not only to the piece but also to the kiln shelf, but I love this series of Japanese tableware. (Due to the thinness of the base material and the layering of two colors of glaze, the glazing process takes longer than usual.) This is the series I have been making the longest...

初めて陶器の像を作った　I made my first ceramic dog statue.

今年の3月末、私にとっても心友であるラナが他界した。 ラナというのは前職で知り合ったアウトドアライター、ホーボー潤さんが長年連れ添った相棒のボーダーコリーのこと。 At the end of March of this year, Lana, who was also a dear friend of mine, passed away. Lana was the longtime Border Collie partner of Jun Hobo, an outdoor writer I met at a previous job.   私はラナとそんなにたくさんの時間を過ごしたわけではないけれど、１度だけマンツーマンで５日間ラナのお世話をする機会があった。 まだ、会社勤めをしていて、毎日逗子から目黒区まで片道１時間半の通勤をしていた頃だった。 I did not spend that much time with Lana, but I did have one opportunity to care for her one-on-one for five days. It was when I was still working for a company and commuting 1.5 hours each way from Zushi to Meguro Ward every day.   いつも残業をするのが当たり前になっていた私だったけれど、この奇跡の５日間はラナのお散歩、トイレ、ごはんの事が気がかりで定時ピッタリで会社を出て走って帰宅していた。 （走ってというか、もしかしたら嬉しくてスキップしていたかもしれない。） I had always taken it for granted that I would work overtime, but for the past five miraculous days, I was so concerned about Lana's walks, toileting, and food that I left work right on time and ran home.   ラナはとてもお利巧さんで、そしてとにかくベッピンさんで可愛くてかわいくて仕方がなかった。 Lana was very smart, and anyway, Beppin was cute and lovely.     あの時ラナと過ごした５日間はとにかく楽しくて、嬉しくて、幸せな時間だった。 私にとっては、とてもキラキラした思い出になっている。 The five days I spent with Lana at that time were just fun, happy and joyful. It is a very sparkling memory for me.   朝、勤務前に葉山の海辺を散歩していると、ラナは棒っきれを咥えて私の足元にすり寄って来た。 In the morning, when I was taking a walk along the beach in Hayama before my shift, Lana came slithering up to my feet with a stick in her mouth. 満面の笑みで私を見上げている。 ボーダーコリーは頭もいいし、運動量も多い。 She looks up at me with a big smile. Border collies are smart and athletic.   その棒っきれをリードを最大距離まで伸ばしても届くギリギリまで遠くに投げる。 ラナが走って取りに行き、それを咥えてダッシュで戻ってくる。何度も何度もそれを繰り返して遊んでいた。 まだまだラナと遊んでいたい気持ちはやまやまだったけれど、電車の時間が近づいているため、急いで帰宅し、会社へ行く。という数日間を過ごした。 I throw the stick as far away as...

お抹茶を複数人分まとめて点てたい。　I want to make matcha for several people at once.

そんなことを思って作った器がこちらです。 Here is a bowl I made with this in mind.   そんなことを言うと、茶道を舐めてるとか言われそうだけど、3名分くらいをまとめて点てられるようにお抹茶を点てる為だけの片口を作りました。 I know I might be accused of licking the tea ceremony when I say this, but I made a katakuchi just for serving matcha so that I can serve it for three people at once.   そもそも、そんなことを考えたのは私がお抹茶好きで、お客様が自宅へいらっしゃった際もお抹茶をお出しする機会が比較的多いからです。 The reason I thought of such a thing is because I am a matcha (powdered green tea) lover, and I have relatively many opportunities to serve matcha when guests come to my home.   ただ、おひとりさま分ずつ点てていると、お茶席のような状況でない場合、皆さん、気を使ってくださり全員分が揃うのを待ってくださいます。 そうなると、一番最初に点てたお茶は泡が消え始めてあまり美しくなくなります。 However, if I am making tea for one person at a time and the situation is not like a tea ceremony, people will be very considerate and wait until everyone has had their share. If this happens, the first tea I make will start to lose its bubbles and will not be very beautiful.   その状態で口にしていただくのがなんとなく嫌で、３名分ほどの量を一気に点てたいと思うようになりました。 I kind of didn't want to put it in my mouth in that state, so I began to think that I wanted to make about three servings at a time.   そして、それぞれの皆様のお抹茶茶碗に注げば、器も美しいまま。一石二鳥どころか３鳥くらいありそうです。 And if I pour it into my own matcha bowl, the bowl will remain beautiful as well. 本漆金継ぎからモダン金継ぎへ。From Real Lacquer Kintsugi to Modern Kintsugi.

モダン金継ぎ講師として As a modern kintsugi instructor   2019年頃から、陶芸のレッスンの傍ら金継ぎを習いたいという方のお声を受けてパーソナルなレッスンをしていました。 始まりは、私の器をご購入くださったお客様からのそんな何気ない依頼でした。 Around 2019, I started giving personalized lessons to people who wanted to learn kintsugi alongside my pottery lessons. It started as such a casual request from a customer who purchased one of my vessels.   当時、最低限度の知識は得て、自分の器は直せるものの、教えるには至らず、長い間、私自身が習いに行った先生をご案内していたのですが「是非、優佳子さんから学びたい」とおっしゃってくださり、当時は本当に限定的でしたが本漆を扱った金継ぎレッスンをしていました。 At that time, I had acquired a minimum level of knowledge and could fix my own vessels, but I was not able to teach. 六角形のお皿

2022年下半期、最後の卸で【フランクロイドライト、その弟子の様な存在である遠藤新氏の建築物を所有される施設】から高額な宿泊費を支払って滞在される方に向けて、既製品ではなく手がかかったもので日本酒を提供したいとのことでご紹介を経て私に声がかかり、雪山シリーズ、黄色とブルーの組み合わせセットのお猪口とそれぞれの片口を納品しました。   I wholesaled it at a very unbeatable deficit price because they said they could do PR for me and that they had no budget. I do not know if you are actually using the facility because it is not in the price range that would accommodate me and I have not seen if you are using it. 2023年の新作はUPグレードしたコーヒーカップ。The new product for 2023 is an upgraded brown coffee cup.

[caption id="attachment_12022" align="alignnone" width="300"] こちらは2023年現在の進化型のコーヒーカップです。 こちらはカップ＆ソーサーとしてお使いいただけるように六角形のプレートを作りました。　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　This is an evolutionary coffee cup as of 2023. This hexagonal plate was made to be used as a cup and saucer. [/caption]   前ブログ記載の＜2008年から製作していた飴色のカップ＞は、物理的な問題点を解決するために制作日数を増やすことでクリアしていました。 The brown cups that we had been producing since 2008, described in the previous blog, were cleared by increasing the number of days of production to solve the physical problems.   器の薄さに比例して、素焼きの陶器が吸収できる水分量には限界があります。 In proportion to the thinness of the vessel, there is a limit to the amount of water that unglazed pottery can absorb. 前述の飴色のカップは私が作る器の中でも特に薄いものです。（飲み口を大事にしたくてギリギリまで薄く作ったものになります） The aforementioned brown cup is one of the thinnest vessels I make. (I wanted to keep the mouth of the cup as thin as possible.) その薄い陶器に外と内側で2色の釉薬をかけ分けている為、物理的にはかなり無理なことをしています。 The two different colors of glaze are applied to that thin pottery on the outside and inside, which is physically quite impossible.   飴釉も乳白釉も粘度の高めのものを使っている為、1度に内・外の施釉をすると釉薬が陶器にうまく安定せず（吸水限界を超えているので）本焼きした時に縮れを起こしてしまいます。 Because both brown and milky white glazes are made with high viscosity, applying the inner and outer glazes at one time will cause the glaze to not stabilize properly on the pottery (because it has exceeded its water absorption limit) and will cause shrinkage when the pottery is fired. 結果、施釉を2日に分けて製作をするようになりました。 As a result, the glazing process was divided into two days of production.     沢山のロスを出したのち、どうにかしてロス率を下げるために、と施釉方法を２日に分けることに変更しました。 After a lot of losses, the glazing method was changed to two separate days in order to somehow...

Before starting my own business, I used to make it as a gift for many friends and family members.[/caption]   10年以上前に自宅用に作って以降、家族や友人へのプレゼントとして作ってきた定番のカップです。 This is a classic cup that I made over 10 years ago for personal use at home, and since then, it has become a staple gift for my family and friends.     当時は紅茶好きだったのでカタチはお茶の香りを充分感じられる様、ひろがりのある形状にし、ストレートでいただく際にお茶の美味しさを感じやすい様に口元はかなり薄くひいていました。 At that time, I was a tea lover, so I designed the shape of the cup to evoke the aroma of tea. It has a wide and expansive shape, allowing one to fully experience the essence of tea when sipping it blacktea. To enhance the taste of tea, I made the rim of the cup quite thin, allowing for a more delicate sensation at the mouth.     カップの色はシルバーティップスの茶葉などを選んだ際に、澄んだ水いろも楽しめるように、内側は乳白色を選びました。 For the color of the cup, I chose a milky white shade for the inside so that it would complement the clarity of water when brewing teas like Silver Tips. 雪山に思いを馳せて作った器　Tableware crafted while reminiscing about the snowy mountains.

  [caption id="attachment_12098" align="alignnone" width="300"] 白と黒の釉薬の掛け合わせが生み出す雪山のような景色　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　A combination of white and black glazes that create a landscape reminiscent of a snowy mountain.[/caption] 2010年頃から作り出した私が作る和食器の定番です。 This is the signature collection of Japanese tableware that I have been producing since around 2010.   定番でありながらも常に欠品しているシリーズでもあります。 It is a series that is both a staple and often sold out due to its popularity.   当時勤めていた会社での仕事の兼ね合いもあり、スキーにハマり、足しげく通った雪山。 シーズンオフに入るころ、既に来年の冬が待ち遠しくて、雪山に思いをはせて作っていた器たちです。 These wares were created while reminiscing about the snowy mountains that I frequented, as I became passionate about skiing during that time. Due to the demands of my job at the company I worked for back then, I found myself drawn to the mountains. As the off-season approached, I eagerly awaited the next winter, and it was during this time that I crafted these vessels with thoughts of the snowy mountains.   SKI TRAVELには温泉とお酒がつきもの。 訪れた土地の日本酒を買って帰る。 そんな時に使うお猪口と片口として作った器がこちら。 These vessels were crafted as sake cups and pourers to accompany my ski travels, where hot springs and alcohol are often part of the experience. When visiting different destinations, I would purchase local Japanese sake to bring back home. These are the utensils I created specifically for such occasions.     現在、日本酒をほとんど飲まなくなり、めったに製作していないですがお酒に合う一品料理を盛り付けるための＜碗皿＞と名付けた浅めの丼も展開していました。 Currently, I rarely drink Japanese sake and don't often create vessels specifically for it. 変わらず愛される為に、進化する定番であり続けること To continue being loved while staying true to oneself and evolving.

いよいよ色展開もカタチの展開も広がりを見せてきました。 The color variations and design expansions have finally started to show a wide range of possibilities.   円、楕円それ以外に食卓を華やかにするカタチは？ What other shapes besides circles and ellipses can bring a touch of elegance to the dining table?   それが、あらゆる器を作りながら思っていたことです。 That is exactly what I had in mind while creating various vessels.   自宅のテーブルコーディネートで金彩の器を使うとき、縁に揺らぎを持たせているとはいえ、ほとんどの形が丸や楕円できちんとしすぎていました。 When using golden porcelain dishes for my home table setting, although I tried to add some variations to the edges, most of the shapes were too round or elliptical, appearing too neat and precise. カタチが規則的すぎると食卓にリズムが生まれず、楽しさが伝わりにくいと感じていて、丸いもの以外にも作りたかったのですが、四角というイメージがなんだかピンと来ていなくて決められずにいました。 I felt that if the shapes were too regular, it would lack rhythm on the dining table and make it difficult to convey a sense of joy. I wanted to create something other than round shapes, but I couldn't decide because I couldn't quite envision square shapes.   そんな時、2021年ごろからハマりだしたタロットカードに出てくる八芒星（オクタグラム）を器へと落とし込み、星形を製作しました。 At that time, around 2021, I became fascinated with the octagram (eight-pointed star) that appeared in tarot cards, and I incorporated it into my ceramics, creating star-shaped Plate.   2021年のホリデーシーズンに販売したら良かったのですが、そのタイミングには間に合わず、2022年1～２月ごろに製品化が実現しています。 I wish I had released them during the 2021 holiday season, but unfortunately, I missed the timing.
